Just another burning question about task 1. When writing a good overview paragraph for a chart including totals, if a candidate fails to put total numbers into it, they can get a 4/5 in TA. Is it true? Normally, there is a common advice: only put main patterns in the overview, not DETAILS or specific data.
    _________
The pie charts below show units of electricity production by fuel source in Australia and France in 1980 and 2000.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. (The chart here: https://www.ieltsessaybank.com/electricity-production/)
The overview should be: Overall, total production increased significantly in both countries, by 70% to 170 units in Australia, while it doubled to 180 units in France. As for the sources of energy, the use of coal grew the most in Australia, while nuclear power generation saw a dramatic increase in France. (You can notice ‘while it doubled to 180 units in France, by 70% etc)

      Hi Anh
I don’t recommend adding too much data in the overview, and it’s fine not to add any data, as long as the key features are added with relevant data in the main body.
I hope that answers your question.
      Best wishes
